🚀 On January 4, 2023, I posted my first YouTube video, marking my entry into AI entrepreneurship. In 667 days, I've built multiple AI businesses generating over $3 million in revenue with a team of over 40 people in Oakland City.
💡 My journey was filled with mistakes that cost time and money. Today, I’ll share my five biggest regrets to help you avoid similar pitfalls.
🔍 Initially, I hired AI developers from Upwork, thinking they would deliver quality work. However, they treated me like just another client, leading to poor communication and project delays. Lesson: Hire developers aligned with your business model and familiar with the tech stack you use.
📈 Despite posting over 100 videos and gaining 260,000 subscribers, I didn’t systemize my content production. A systematic approach could have led to smoother growth and more valuable content. Lesson: Invest time in building content systems to maximize your business potential.
Lesson: Learn to say no to distractions and focus on your core business for better growth.
💰 Early on, our sales process lacked exploration milestones, resulting in low close rates. By introducing a paid exploration phase, we improved our close rate to 80-90%. Lesson: Financially qualify leads early to enhance cash flow and close rates.
🤝 Initially, I viewed other creators as competitors. However, I learned that collaboration yields greater benefits. Building friendships with fellow creators has enriched my journey. Lesson: Reach out and collaborate rather than compete.
🌟 These lessons have shaped my journey in the AI space. While I’m happy with my progress, implementing these changes sooner could have accelerated my success. I hope these insights help you on your journey!
