Poly Mega Review

🎮 Introduction: The Poly Mega is a retro gaming console that allows you to play a variety of old games. After waiting 2.5 years, I finally received mine 6 months ago and have been using it extensively.

🕹️ Supported Games: The Poly Mega supports games from multiple systems including:

  • PlayStation (original and Japanese)
  • Genesis / Mega Drive
  • Sega CD / Mega CD
  • Sega Saturn (Japanese)
  • Neo Geo CD (both versions)
  • Turbografx-16 / PC Engine
  • Super Graphics
  • Arcade cards

💾 Memory Upgrade: Initially, the default memory card filled up quickly. Upgrading to a larger memory card is highly recommended as it significantly enhances the experience.

🔄 Game Installation: Installing games is straightforward:

  • Cartridges install almost instantly.
  • CD games can take 10 minutes or more depending on size.
However, not all games work perfectly; about 95% of games install without issues.

🛠️ Controller Experience: The default controller is generally good, but some moves in games like Street Fighter can be challenging to execute. There is no noticeable lag when playing.

📺 Overall Experience: The Poly Mega has been a great addition for collectors and casual gamers alike. It allows for easy access to a personal game collection and supports original controllers. Despite some installation issues, it has been a worthwhile investment.

🤔 Final Thoughts: If you're interested in retro gaming, the Poly Mega is worth considering. It has provided me with a lot of enjoyment over the past 6 months.

💬 Feedback: What do you think about the Poly Mega? Is it something you would consider? Let me know!
